Measurement of Longitudinal and Lateral Strain at Quasistatic Tensile Tests on Aluminum Foams and CRP-Specimens

A Laser Extensometer of the type K-100 is used for measurement of locally resolved longitudinal and lateral strain at quasistatic tensile tests on aluminum foams and CRP-specimens.
The marking of the aluminum foam specimens is possible by using a double-sided tape to close the open pores of the foam. After preparing the specimen the marking is done by using sticky tape markers or spraying marking powder.
